The world’s tallest dog was diagnosed with steosarcoma a very aggressive form of bone cancer in April. His owner Sandy Hall who has also lost her husband to cancer and is a cancer survivor herself took the brave and difficult step several days ago of putting him to sleep when X-rays of his lungs showed the cancer had spread.

Kenny a cross bichon frise was found wandering alone in Epping Forest by a passer-by. His owners were traced using a microchip. He was aged two when he went missing and the dog’s owners presumed that he had been stolen. Joshua Donnelly Kenny’s owner’s son said: "I had long since given up hope of ever seeing Kenny again.

LZAN(AP)–2 days agoHUSTN — An animal behavior expert told jurors Thursday that it’s possible a small dog could have severed an infant boy’s genitals something that prosecutors accuse the child’s mother of doing. Prosecutors say Katherine Nadal was high on drugs when she attacked her then-5-week-old son Holden Gothia in their suburban Houston apartment in March 2007 using an unknown sharp instrument to mutilate him. But Nadal claims the family dog a 6- to 7-pound dachshund attacked her son as she slept next to him. Nadal 28 is on trial on a charge of injury to a child a first-degree felony and faces up to life in prison if convicted. The jury was expected to begin deliberating the case Friday after hearing closing arguments.

And you can play music while you work as long as it’s not live music. Recently a new challenge has emerged on my work-at-home front and if the situation were not so outlandish I’m certain I could ignore it. But no one prepared me for a dog that … sings. Sure when our dog Moose was a puppy he used to bark or howl a bit whenever anyone played a musical instrument. But recently he’s begun contributing zealously to any live musical performance. Even when he is napping he perks up and dog-hums along to the music from his prone position in the front hallway under the ficus. Curiously it’s a very stylized sort of dog singing wherein he executes different tones and textures exhibiting dynamics changes from pianissimo to fortissimo.
