We agree with him that the bill should do more to contain health care costs. But we would caution him not to sacrifice the good in a quest for the perfect. Matheson and other conservative Democrats the so-called Blue Dogs have become a speed bump on the road to health care reform by withholding their yes votes in an important committee. Sometimes speed bumps can be a good thing; they slow drivers to a safer pace. In the case of health care reform that might open the door to improvements in the bill. But it is important not to stop the car or help obstructionists who want to. We have argued as Matheson has that the bill should do more to contain rising health care costs.

com ne moment Brad Lovelace’s beloved dog Coltrane was in his garage getting a weekly bath. The next day he was in the agonizing throes of a fatal case of heatstroke. Maricruz Cisneros had tied her two dogs in a backyard treehouse and blocked the treehouse entrance with chairs in order to keep them from escaping during the party; a gate to the yard which is normally kept closed was open to allow guests to enter. But the entrance apparently wasn't blocked quite well enough and one of the dogs a Chihuahua somehow fell from the treehouse while still attached to its leash. The leash acted as a noose choking the dog. Fortunately for the dog one of the partygoers was Krisna Torres who sprung into action when she saw what had happened.

Despite taking him to the area and waiting he chooses to go on the grass or clothesline post. We thought this arrangement would preserve our yard. How can we teach a mature dog some new tricks? A: Landscaped yards get a heavy workout from pets whose urine contains enough nitrogen to potentially burn and kill grass. Teaching a dog to use a specific area can prevent these unsightly brown patches. ther advantages besides avoiding lawn repairs: Clean yards allow children to play without stepping into a mess and scooping becomes a breeze especially in snow. There is one prerequisite that needs to be addressed before getting started. Dogs must feel comfortable eliminating in the presence of their owner.
Lost dog’s hoarding helps rescuer reunite her with owners
Los Angeles Times
"She was starved and covered with ticks. "Wilkes-Myers knew something terrible must have happened to Ella for her to be found without her family. She searched the nearby area and returned home with Ella and a plastic bag full of items the dog had hoarded in a little nest — the family's toothbrushes a hairbrush and other personal items. Among the personal effects Wilkes-Myers found was contact information for the Kelleys' insurance agent. Wilkes-Myers got in touch with the agent April Bowers who immediately knew the lost Rottweiler was the Kelleys' missing Ella. The dog and her family were reunited at last and — we confess — the happy reunion was enough to bring a tear to even our hardened eye. Bonus good news: The Kelleys are all expected to fully recover from their injuries.
