The policeman whose name wasn’t released was in the area responding to another call when he saw several people assaulting a man according to the newspaper. When the officer went to break up the fight the crowd’s attention switched from the party to him. In an attempt to keep the mob at bay — and perhaps to prove the old “man’s best friend” adage — the policeman sent his dog into the throng of people. The animal latched onto one suspect who was apprehended and later identified as 18-year-old Alfredo Espinoza the Bee reported. But Espinoza had the crowd on his side. When the officer approached him for an arrest they pulled the teen away and allegedly challenged the cop to a fight. ne suspect reportedly lunged at the officer during the struggle; his two-way radio broke during the scuffle.

Guess where the dog owners put the dogs — on the seat three out of four times in my experience. I do not wish to sit on a bus seat that has just felt the kiss of a dog's anus. But once they let the animals on the bus there was no way they were going to stop them from being everywhere as these animal owners have higher regard for their animals than for their fellow humans. You HAVE to draw the line with these people.

(AP) — A woman sued a police dog that she blamed for injuries after it bit her in the buttocks. To a suburban Detroit judge the bottom line was that the lawsuit was frivolous. So Warren District Judge David Viviano slapped 55-year-old Inez Starks with a $500 fine. The Eastpointe woman filed a lawsuit last August against the city of Warren several police officers and Liberty a German shepherd dog in the police department’s K-9 unit. Starks claims she has suffered nerve damage since Liberty bit her during an April 2007 confrontation among police her daughter and others.
