Bo the Portuguese water dog who recently became the first presidential pet in the bama White House is the star of “Bo America’s Commander in Leash” expected in stores by the end of the month. Mascot Books a small independent publisher in Herndon Va. specializing in titles based on university and school mascots is rushing the book out to capitalize on the fervor surrounding the bamas’ new dog. “Bo” is written by Naren Aryal a founder of Mascot Books and illustrated by Danny Moore one of its employees.

fficers said while being booked into the Boulder County Jail Tuesday Abby Toll was found to have an unspecified amount of heroin in her possession The Boulder (Colo. ) Daily Camera reported Wednesday. The University of Colorado student had been arrested on a felony animal cruelty charge for allegedly taping a dog belonging to her boyfriend Bryan Beck to the side of his refrigerator. Toll was freed from jail on a $12500 bond Wednesday and was scheduled to be formally charged Thursday. In addition to the animal cruelty charge she faced charges of introducing a controlled substance domestic violence third-degree assault tampering and sale and distribution of a controlled substance. Beck 21 pleaded innocent to charges of domestic violence false imprisonment and obstruction of a telephone from the couple’s recent fight at Toll’s apartment. He is free on a $1500 bond the Daily Camera said.
