Police in Gates say the incident began late Thursday night whentwo men with guns forced their way into a home and robbed a19-year-old man. Then the victim’s mother released two pit bullsinto the room. ne of the guns went off during a struggle and the noisestartled the dogs which attacked their owners and the robbers. The intruders then fled the house with one of them firing atthe dogs. The shot missed but the ricochet threw debris into theface of the 19-year-old.
