article-tools –> June 04 2008 09:33am SCAR-winning actress Tatum ‘Neal who was this week arrested for allegedly buying crack cocaine said she was tipped over the edge by the death of her dog three weeks ago. ‘Neal may face up to a year in jail after being charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance. It was reported she was caught buying crack cocaine from a homeless street vendor three blocks from her Manhattan home. Former drug addict ‘Neal has reportedly blamed her dog’s death for pushing her over the edge. "Just when I was about to change that and wreck my life the police came and saved me" she said The New York Post reports.

More than 350 cases were reported to Britain's Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals in 2007 compared with 137 the year before. In 2004 the figure was just 24. Nearly a third referred specifically to youths or "hoodies" training their dogs to fight in the street or park. "The ownership of 'status symbol' dogs by teenagers on inner-city estates which are used for anti-social behaviour or dog-fighting is rising at an alarming rate" the RSPCA said.

Lexus is made to sniff the indentation caused by my shoe-scuffing and then ‘asked’ to locate the leaf I’ve handled. He doesn’t hesitate walking straight away to the right one.

County Dog Warden Jamie Perry is on the scene this afternoon. He has retrieved 10 dogs so farwading through chest-high water in spots to reach them and was returning to fetch the rest. The makeshift shelter is set on about 2 acres along old Rt. 33 also called Pomeroy Road about5 miles south of Athens.

Mongrel terrier Brook went missing from her home near Coldstream on the banks of the River Tweed last month. wner Sheena Black said she had never given up hope of finding the dog which got stuck while chasing rabbits. Brook was eventually dug out of the hole after a neighbour’s springer spaniel alerted Mrs Black to the spot where her dog had become lodged. When Brook first went missing her owner and her two sons Jonathan and Ben were confident she would return.
