Liposuction is available for the first time outside Germany atthe University of Sydney’s new $2. 3 million Canine TeachingHospital which opened last week. The university’s associate professor in small animal surgeryGeraldine Hunt introduced the technology here two years ago andhas so far performed the procedure which can cost about $2000 on15 dogs. Most were for the removal of lypomas or benign fatty tumourswhich traditionally require invasive surgery.

Passengers senior airline officials andtheir staff had a harrowing experience on Day 1 of operations at the newBengaluru International Airport(BIA). Passengers catchingmorning flights were stranded for close to 90 minutes as the Air Traffic Control(ATC) malfunctioned. The crucial flight plan link terminals which communicatethe departing aircraft’s flight path to airports collapsed stranding 10aircraft all ready to takeoff. “ur pilot informed us ofa one-hour delay as BIA’s ATC was not functioning” said a Hyderabad-boundpassenger.
