Tegan: We watched The Dog Whisperer this morning when we got up that helped us ease into Coachella. Sara: It?s like a safe place to watch Cesar Millan talk to the dogs. I own two seasons of The Dog Whisperer on DVD and I don?t even like dogs I?m a cat person. T: It really trained us. Sue Bailey THE CANADIAN PRESS TTAWA–Random police-dog searches that lead to drug charges won't pass the legal sniff test the country's top court has declared in a split judgment that reaffirms privacy rights. The Supreme Court of Canada ruling means that police canine teams can't sweep high schools or public places for drugs without a prior justifiable suspicion of a crime. "This is a good day for civil liberties" said Frank Addario president of the Criminal Lawyers' Association of Friday's ruling. "The judgment is a reasonable compromise between law enforcement aspirations to search indiscriminately and the right to privacy. Now they need reasonable suspicion – not a trumped-up profile or a pretext search based on speculation.

She ignored their calls and when they approached she growled raised her hackles and slipped through a sagging fence to hide under piles of junk in the yard of a vacant house. Eventually the dog – named Josie by the neighbors – became known as Case No. A738365 making her one of about 24000 animals that pass through the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region each year.
