The Foreign Ministry says it now considers the incident closed. The drawing by Swedish artist Lars Vilks appeared in a local newspaper in the city of Örebro on August 19. Vilks originally produced three drawings depicting Mohammed as a roundabout or traffic circle dog.

A reward of £10000 is being offered for information leading to the conviction of those responsible for the dog’s death. A council spokesman said the vet who tested the affected cow believed that dogs were the parasite’s host. People not clearing up after their dogs risked a £75 fixed penalty he added.
